Our Story
Bopaki is Sesotho for evidence — the documented record that holds up under scrutiny. It's what South African municipalities have needed most and had the least of, so we built the infrastructure to produce it.
The Origin
In 2024 we looked at South African local government compliance: municipalities running business licensing on paper, inspectors with no system of record, entrepreneurs waiting months for approvals with no reason to take that long. Foreign SaaS vendors had no incentive to build for South Africa's specific regulatory framework, and local form tools lacked the depth for multi-module compliance, government API integrations, or forensic audit trails.
So we started building — not a form, a platform.
MCMP engineering starts from a blank repository, built to South African municipal compliance law from day one.
9 core modules covering the full compliance lifecycle — intake, rule engine, adjudication, inspection, certification, audit trail.
First live DHA + CIPC government API verification in SA municipal compliance. MCMP finds its permanent home as Bopaki Group.
June 2026 — Platform Milestone
MCMP completed its first live query against the Department of Home Affairs national population register within a municipal compliance workflow, combined with live CIPC company registration confirmation.
For the first time, a municipality using MCMP can confirm both who an applicant is and whether their company is legitimately registered — before a document is reviewed.
Company Background
MCMP has been in development since 2024, built from the ground up around South African municipal compliance law. In 2026, the platform found its permanent home as Bopaki Group.
